FireCursor is independent. It talks to each provider’s supported local interface. It does not impersonate their apps or take their passwords.
Questions
A few things
you might be wondering.
Is this the official Cursor Android app?
No. FireCursor is an independent product for controlling local Cursor, Codex, and Claude agents, plus Cursor Cloud. It is not affiliated with Anysphere, OpenAI, or Anthropic.
Does my computer have to stay on?
For local Cursor, Codex, and Claude: yes, the paired machine has to be on with the extension or Windows host running. For Cursor Cloud agents: no, the computer can sleep.
Do you get my ChatGPT or Claude password?
No. Codex uses ChatGPT’s own sign-in on the desktop, and Claude stays in Claude Code. An optional Cursor API key lives in private, backup-disabled Android storage and is sent only to Cursor over HTTPS.
Why isn’t this on Google Play?
The public preview is currently distributed as a release-signed APK. A Google Play listing is planned. Check the SHA-256 on the Releases page before you install.
What does pairing actually open?
A token-gated tunnel between the phone and the desktop host. The default path is TLS through a temporary Cloudflare tunnel. The same-network fallback is for trusted LANs only — use the tunnel off home or office Wi-Fi.
What if the agent breaks the repo?
Each session starts from a git-tree checkpoint, including untracked files, without touching the real index, so you can restore it. That is not a substitute for git remotes and backups.

Not available. Android first.
What does it cost?
The preview is free and needs no card. If a paid plan ships, the price will be on this page before anyone is charged. Do not treat the preview as a production control system.
